“Man of Steel” producer and “Dark Knight” trilogy director Christopher Nolan is expected by some to produce the project, but the exact nature of his involvement is unclear.
The move marks the culmination of years of effort on the part of Warner Bros. and DC Comics to bring their superheroes together in a similar fashion to their primary competitor Marvel, which successfully combined its superheroes into a $1.5-billion box-office hit with “The Avengers.”
In the comic world, the two heroes are teaming up in a new series, “Batman/Superman,” by writer Greg Pak and artist Jae Lee.

Quit talking in absolutes like you created the character or something. Batman is perfectly ok using guns as long as he isn't walking around with uzi's or some shit. Pretty much the only rule with Batman is that he does not kill, and I believe this has been broken on several occasions including the Nolan movies. But there is not a rule that says he can't use cannons on the front of a car to blow up support structures and such. [Reply]

He breaks it in Burton's movies, too. In the first one, he throws that big black dude down the church steeple after bouncing his head off the bell, and in Batman Forever, he shoves the dynamite down that other guy's pants, drops him down a manhole, and blows him to bits. [Reply]
