We all have varying opinions about the impact of this, the numbers, etc. We will all never agree with each other. But we can all keep it civil.

Thanks!

We will see a massive shift to mistrust of “experts”. If this ends up being true they fucked up on a gigantic scale.

At this point it is already in motion.

Idk man. I've kind of become desensitized to the numbers. What we've learned over the past couple of days, most notably, is that there is a HUGE portion of cases out there that are unreported.

Yeah they did t really mention when they were doing the testing from what I read so if it weee a couple weeks ago we’d know now.

Asymptomatic and presymptimatic are different for sure

Oh I know. That's really the "bad side" of this type of news. We can social distance, shelter in place, do all this stuff - but this thing is already so widespread.

Ehh...sometimes the best even an expert can do is make educated guesses. There just wasn't a whole lot of information to go on.

I think we all had a pretty good idea this was going to go everywhere in a hurry.

The good news is that woth that many having it the death rate is lower and we could be thru this faster

The bad news is with all this asymptomatic stuff, we have no clue who has it or where they’re spreading it

Prison is not a normal environment and it doesn’t mean people will of symptomatic at some point or get very ill. If it is very contagious you need higher percentage of people needing to contract it for here immunity

I don't see that as being bad, it means we may be closer to herd immunity than previously thought.

The biggest issue I’ve seen is not rolling with new information or actively seeking out new info. Maybe they are and it just takes time, but damn this past month has lasted a year

There was very little data to go on. A decision was made and I think it was the right call.

You and I know that because we are geniouses. The masses are a different animal. (I strained my Dunning Kruger muscle typing this post.)

Yeah the prison thing for sure but most people aren’t that tightly packed.

I’ve been a proponent of the iceberg theory for a while and that’s seemingly more and more likely the case
