Media Center>4k TV
Demonpenz 02:48 PM 11-14-2017
In the next year I am looking to buy a 4k TV. One that plays Xbox 1x on 4k. I don't know where exactly to start researching but I would sit post in the mean time. What I know so far is I am fine with my TV now bit I am a gamer and want the best but not stupid expensive. I know there are obstacles to getting Xbox one x to run 4k. Any advice or sarcasm is greatly appreciated. Thanks and go fuck yourself.

check the auto brightness mode setting. We took ours off automatic. Also found sports is the best viewing for all stuff. Also leave football mode on all the time. Very satisfied now.

I really don't want to spend more than 2k on a television.
Screen size is the #1 factor in buyer satisfaction. A 55 would suffice, a 65 Oled will blow your mind. (Unless you put it next to Danes $400 tv of course)

I’ve always been a plasma guy as well, but with their demise I had to turn elsewhere and the LG Oled is the first tv to truly surpass my expectations.

He may also have an input issue in the HDR. If he’s watching 4K content then it should show an HDR symbol in the upper right hand of the screen. If it’s standard content then put the tv in HDR mode, and it will upscale and improve quality. Are you certain he had the Oled B7/C7?

The key is 1080p The new set tries to upgrade signal but don't do much. Get a 4K bluray and look at the 4K set. OH and LG made some crap too depending on model. Look it up here. http://www.rtings.com

Plasmas have great pics like the old HD CRT sets but may I suggest you get his new set calibrated? did he give you the plasma? perk

Makes for a great Christmas gift.

Best thing I did for all my sets.

The tech told me that the local store includes it with sale...says they can'y keep up with demand.

Thats a nice set it has a quick refresh rate from 120Hz native processor and then enhances it to 240Hz. I bet it looks good on games too.

They do. I went to Costco, looked at the 70" 4K units and then bought one from Sam's Club on special Saturday.

$1,649.99 and includes an additional 3 year square trade warranty that’s normally $90.

My brother picked up four 43" Roku TV's earlier this year at Best Buy. I think the were around $299.00.

Here's one on Amazon that's 4K:

Here's a Sharp 43" at Best Buy. 4k, $329:

:-)

This is exactly like the "Converter Wars" that exist on various Pro Audio Websites.

Guys will claim that their $2,000 Analog-to-Digital-Analog converters "blow away" a $250 dollar ADA box when in reality, the differences are generally barely perceptible to even the best trained ears.

To top that off, the $250 dollar ADA boxes sold today are infinitely better than the converters used to create some of the greatest music of all time from 1980 to around 2003.

The bottom line for me is that if I pick up a 55" 4K TV, regardless of the price, I'm going to be very happy once it's mounted on the wall while watching programs of my choice.
