I never thought 50 was possible by a Royals player.

You can tell Soler isn’t on Roids either. He just takes massive swings every time

We have an exciting future. We have 5 players who could legitimately be in the running for the All-Star game each year in Soler, Dozier, Salvy, Whit and Mondesi.

We really really really need Nicky Lopez & Brett Phillips to take big steps forward next year. I also think with the expanded rosters we could afford to do a McBroom/O'Hearn platoon that would yield some of the best 1B production in the AL.

We figure out our pitching and we might be going places.

Lucas Giolito the first pitcher to strikeout at least 12 Royals while allowing at least 5 runs since Nolan Ryan in 1989. The other two were Oil Can Boyd in 1985 and Mike Moore in the 1984.

If he gets through this weekend with another homer or two, he’ll have a real good shot at it.

I'd be willing to bet that the pitchers don't think it's a fair playing field.

Again, I don't disagree that 'juicing the ball' is bullshit. However, taking steroids is an individual cheat. Juicing the ball is a league-wide cheat towards generating more home runs. One benefits an individual; the other benefits each and every team's offense.

See the difference?

The ball is juiced, but pitchers have their own advantage ... Pitchers are using bug spray and similar substances to improve their grip on the ball and allow them to throw crazier, nastier breaking stuff. And no one is calling it out really, even if technically illegal, because everyone wants to be able to do it.

The family and I are in town for a couple games. Is there any type of car/ride share service other than a taxi that will take us up to one of the gates at the K?

We stayed at coco Keyes last year. We called an Uber. Met us at the hotel in 10 minutes. It was well worth it. And yes, dropped us off at the front of the stadium.

Uber/Lyft both work great.

Bubba making things happen out there. Finally got a run off of Cole to tie the game.

That's about right. Go toe to toe with the best pitcher in the league for 8 innings to give him a no decision, but the bullpen comes through at the last minute to give Cole another win.
