As a marketing professional this marketing sucks.

Once you’ve gotten any COVID-19 vaccine, you still need to wear a mask, get tested, and watch your distance. Isolate if you have tested positive/have symptoms, and quarantine if you are a close contact or have traveled to another state or country. Visit https://t.co/74RKEJYTOU. pic.twitter.com/czv1jYpbqa

Agreed. I just don't get it. Give people hope and a reason to get the vaccine.

If you didn't know better you would think they were trying to discourage people from getting vaccinated. This shit makes no sense no matter how you try to spin it otherwise.

Its like telling your kids to do their homework but they are still grounded anyway.

Obviously not.

In this case, the vaccine drops chances of death overall by 100x compared to those who aren't vaccinated. You can't really compare it to a CFR (since that assumes people are infected in the first place), but it's kind like dropping the CFR to 0.019%.
I’m not sure that is correct.

“According to the same report, the vaccine is up to 99.2 percent effective in preventing serious illness. 98.9 percent of patients followed did not need to be hospitalized.

The epidemiology unit at the Health Ministry collects data at two points: one week after the second dose and a week after that. According to the data, after one week, the vaccine is 91.9 percent effective in preventing the illness altogether. After two weeks, it jumps to 95.8 percent.”

It doesn’t seem to compare the numbers to non-vaccinated individuals.

Go get the vaccine and give it time to do what it does. Then go back to normal life.

There's your PR.

Too simple. We need a more complex formula that varys from state to state.

That's the definition of effectiveness rates.

Then you might want to get used to the idea that vaccinations rates wont be nearly as high as they should be.
