Was reviewing some Missouri data this morning. I'm borderline hopeful that we may on downward trend state wide. Cases seem to have dropped off a bit, and overall positivity has dipped a bit as well.

Or the MO DHSS website is inaccurate and we're still fucked

Positivity has leveled off at 10% nationally. That's good news.

In my area in NY they tested all the college kids leaving for the holiday but are only reporting the positive results. The negative results do not count in the positivity %.

Another doctored stat.

Two weeks after Thanksgiving will be the stress test.

I'm a little worried about marketing. Here's what I've seen.

Pfizer - we're at 90 percent effectiveness!

Moderna - hey, we're at 95 percent!

Pfizer - looking again, we're over 90. I'd say we're around 95

Astrazenica -we're at 70. Oh, but hey, if we do this one thing, we're at 90!

It's not a contest, Big Pharma. (Well, maybe for them it is, but for me it's just about the numbers.)

Hopefully we get a chance to look at the data ourselves in the near future.

Wait for the clinical data, not the press releases.

What am I missing here? Does a 10% positivity rate not mean that 90% of the tests came back negative?

That seems unlikely.

And if it's true, I'd like to know their reasoning behind it.

The County Executive mentioned it on Twitter. He said they only have the positive cases added in but the negative tests were not reported.

It LOOKS like the Midwestern states have peaked and are on the way down. Hopefully.

Thanksgiving isn’t gonna help
