Nzoner's Game Room>Official 2017-2018 NBA Playoffs thread!
Al Bundy 08:21 PM 04-13-2018

We'll see if the Warriors recover from the end of the season stretch of stinkers.

Who wouldn’t be a fan of LeBron at any age? Probably the greatest athlete of all time. It’s far more rational behavior than being a fan of a business entity solely based on geographical location.

Jim Thorpe is the greatest athlete of all time. The man dominated at every sport. Heck, he even won the 1912 collegiate ballroom dancing award.

I want the calls correct which is the entire purpose of replay and it worked in this instance.

What about Bo Jackson? Dominant with football in the NCAA and in the NFL. Really good at baseball in both college and the pros. Plus track and field in college

You didn't answer the question. Would you support an NFL ref changing a call to pass interference in the final 30 seconds of the Super Bowl because of something he saw on instant replay?

There is an enormous difference between using replay to review if your feet are in bounds, and making a judgment call about whether a defender should be flagged for pass interference. No other sports allow judgment calls to be reviewed.

If the rules allowed the ref to review then sure....why not? You should bitch about the rule, not the refs.

LeBron is a business too. All you have to do is look at his networth and what he is involved in for money - endorsements, shoes, business investments etc..

He's not playing bball out of the goodness of his heart like a nonprofit organization he is doing it to get paid and win. He has amazing basketball skills that we all pay to watch.

Fans want to root for teams from their area or teams they like for whatever reason. Win or lose they stick with their team. They root for players cause the players play for those teams. Simply rooting for a player is bandwagon shit. Player fans are undercover bandwagon fans, they root for 'players' and these 'players' of course are always the best in the business and usually always win. Once the players are past their prime most of these player fans disappear and start rooting for the next great superstar. Gee what a surprise...

The rule is that the refs should not review that play unless they are unsure about whether the player is in the restricted area. Only then can you also review if the charging call is correct/incorrect. The refs trying to pretend that was the reason for the review is utter horse shit. Damn clear that Lebron wasn't even close to the restricted area.

And yes, the rule is garbage and needs to go. It's a really bad rule. There's a reason these subjective calls are not reviewable in every other sport.

Lebron is about 3 to 4 steps outside of the restricted area. That is bad bad bad for the refs to review the play based on this. It's not even close.

He'd be up there. But if you even wanted to stick to basketball, you'd have to include Wilt Chamberlain. Not that I saw him play, but the stories are legendary. Hank Stram legitimately considered signing him to play for the Chiefs. A 7 foot monster who was also a legit track star. Won the Big 8 high jump title 3 years in a row and did the shot put and 100 yard dash.

We can speculate but there is no way to know for sure. I think they blew the call knew it and used this rule but we don't know for sure.

What's wrong with being a bandwagon fan btw? It's far more rational than sticking with a trash team for years and years for no good reason with no payoff. Watching the Chiefs regularly for the past 20+ years for example has to be about the dumbest/most irrational thing I do on a yearly basis.

And now the NBA admits Draymond committed a lane violation and Hill should have gotten an extra FT. And Tristan should have only gotten a Flagrant 1. That is really, really bad.

Has to be one of the worst officiated games in NBA finals history.

He is the GOAT to you. Not to everyone else. That's an opinion you have formed, not everyone agrees with you.
