More trade news: The #Chiefs are deep in talks with the #49ers on a trade for star pass-rusher Dee Ford, sources say. Things have escalated and this could get done by the end of the night. Ford needs to work out a new contract with SF, which is a big piece of this.
Also, for all the love people want to heap on Lynch at times, he has some HUGE mistakes on his resume.
1. Drafting Solomon Thomas 3rd overall
2. Choosing to keep Erik Armstead instead of DeForrest Buckner
3. Trading for Dee Ford and giving him big money
4. Trading for Jimmy G and giving him big money
But he found a good LB in Fred Warner and was lucky enough to take advantage of Nick Bosa being the obvious pick. So I guess people will keep thinking he’s good? [Reply]

The Solomon Thomas one is the one that gets me.
Maaaan he got his dick sucked HARD for passing on all the 2017 QBs and reaching for Thomas with his trade-down pick.
"SO BRAVE NOT TO CAVE TO THE PRESSURE! SO CALM AND COOL! DIDN'T LIKE ANY OF THE QBS! HE'S PATIENT AND THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED! WHAT A RESPONSIBLE, BRILLIANT GM!!!!!"
Things will change dramatically if Trey Lance ends up being great in the NFL, but for now the moral of the story is never ask a safety to evaluate QBs. [Reply]

Right now, it's looking like he screwed the pooch trading up for Trey Lance when, according to the rumors, Shanahan wanted Mac Jones. Mac Jones is looking like the better quarterback so far and he fell to 15. How many picks did he give up to move up for Lance? I believe that it was 3 first round picks. And Jones was there at their original pick (12). SMH [Reply]
