Seems like everything I've read about the hire, it seems like a good one. Really don't care who the coaches are, as long as the can freaking coach, make adjustments and have a proper defensive game plan and utilize the players to their ability and scheme them in the right system.

So basically the opposite of Suttons defense...

With the way House utilizes his linebackers to slow down the spread, I expect DOD to flourish under his coaching and develop into one of the better coverage linebackers around.

Hopefully, he can get Hitchens to realize the potential he was starting to show in Dallas, too.

First 8 games: man, fuck these new defensive coaches. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Last 11 games: I’m not sure what happened at the midpoint of the year, but this defense came slings and I killing it!!!

Perhaps they are this aggressive going for this particular coach because they think it means they won't have to go out into FA overpaying for a starter. They might think a lot of the players just need to be developed and coached up. I can't say one way or the other, but I bet the new coaching staff gets more out of the roster than Sutton did.
