I love birthdays. It's the one true day that you get to celebrate that person being born. It's a special day. I'm nine years away from being 50 myself, and I will have an 11 year old son at that point. I'm going to wear that age badge with honor. [Reply]

There are obviously things that go down hill as you get older, but personally, I hated high school and going to a small college wasn't much different... and it took most of my 20s to start getting comfortable in my career.
And if nothing else, the fun part of telling young people how great it is to be old is the confused look on their face, while knowing the only way they'll ever understand is becoming old themselves. (granted, a lot of people never seem to leave high school, so there's that) [Reply]
