Some interesting tidbits in there.

Josh Jackson gonna go earlier than I thought. Some guys gonna go in the 2nd round CP doesn't hold as high.

The Chiefs need to draft Jaylen Samuels at some point.

The Chargers and Rosen? Talk about a real stretch.

The Chargers need to strike right now while the rest of the division reorganizes. I don't see taking Rivers replacement as striking while the iron is hot.

I don't know, I'm thinking Rivers hits a pretty hard wall pretty fast. He's already shown some signs of it and with his lack of real armstrength and mobility it could be fast.

It hasn't happened yet and the Chargers are losing the ground in LA to the Rams.

Rivers hasn't slumped yet and intends to play in the new LA stadium. No way is QB the top priority, nor do I think that Rosen would be the target.

I think it'll happen fast with Rivers. They're in a good spot similar to what the Chiefs were with Smith in that a guy could sit a year behind Rivers and potentially trade him after to recoup.

Rivers has absolutely zero trade value.

In a year if he falls off, no.

Right now, after the year he just had I'd think someone would take him on.

The thing you're glossing over is Rivers would refuse to play for another team and that kills any trade value he could have, regardless of his play. The dude nearly retired because they moved 2 fucking hours away.

The Chargers are on the cusp of their first playoff berth in 5 years and the window is about closed. They don't have many opportunities left to play January football and targeting a QB in the first sends a message of "we don't give a shit about 2018."

Every game would be 100% a road game if they take a QB.

True, but if the window is nearly closed, why not prepare for the next window? Maybe they like Rosen as the next guy, he's a California kid playing at UCLA. Would be an easy transition.

Plus they're the CHargers in LA. No one gives a fuck about them anyway.

Man, that's piling unrelated facts together. Rivers wants to win as much as anyone in the league, I think you saying he would refuse to play anywhere else is just as speculative as me saying he would accept a trade if it meant a shot at a ring with a team who is a qb away.

The Chargers also have a responsibility to plan for life after Rivers, I think the fans get that.

Rivers commutes hours every day to see his family as much as possible and has no desire to move his family out of San Diego. He's not playing for another team, guaranteed.

The fans want to see wins and couldn't give the slightest fuck about the Chargers long-term plans. Why would they blow that window of having a franchise QB on a cheap contract to have them sit on the bench picking their asscrack for years? Why would Anthony Lynn want Rosen over a dual-threat guy, as a run first coach?

I'm a chargers fan and generally hate teams trading up, but would be thrilled if the Chargers traded up for Rosen or stayed pat and got Jackson . Rivers is about done and they desperately need a plan in place for the future. They need to start planning now for when the new stadium opens.
