I've always done this during flu season, but I went to the grocery store to get a few things last night, and did it again out of curiosity.

I picked up my basket, and wiped the handles down with store-supplied wipes, thinking that I was still getting the virus on my hands.

Pulled my list out and went to shopping.

Touched the screen at self-checkout. More virus. Pulled out my wallet, now contaminated.

Walked out to my car. Got out my now-infected keys. Put them in the ignition.

Used hand sanitizer liberally.

Drove home, touched the garage door opener, now contaminated.

Open the car door, now contaminated.

Opened the door to the house, handle now contaminated.

Took grocery bags to the kitchen. Immediately washed my hands.

Put my contaminated wallet and contaminated keys way.

Came back to kitchen. Washed my hands again.

Put away groceries. Put bags in recycling bin.

Washed hands again.

It's one of the few hot spots. Thanks for the correction. We will find out when more testing is done.

You've read that, eh?

Do you know what the average body temperature of a human is?

I've had 2 out of state meetings and a pending training cancelled today.

I decided I'll know when it's time to get nervous.

When Casinos shut down, you know it's time to fill the magazines with zombie loads.

That's a good amount of washing and sanitizing.

:-)

And, of course, they are so dry that my hands are cracked and bleeding, so there goes the skin defense.

Well daytime temps here are already in the 80s so I'm in the clear?

It has to do with transmission. If the virus is in your body it doesn't need to transmit to another host. Go read up on it, there have been plenty of studies done on alot of different virus.

If it follows normal virus patterns you wont be in the clear, but the chance of getting it off something someone touched might be lower. Thats IF coronavirus functions like most other viruses.

You said: "temperatures above 80 degrees will also kill the virus"

Tell me, how does the virus survive in the body running 98.6F?

Not at all. I haven't had the flu for at least ten years. Correlation or causation? I don't know, and don't really care.
