Today the Chiefs traded up to acquire QB Patrick Mahomes 10th overall in 2017 NFL Draft: - Chiefs acquired 10th overall pick from Bills for 27th overall pick, 2017 3rd Rd pick & 2018 1st Rd pick - The Bills selected CB Tre’Davious White 27th overall with the 2017 1st-round pick
So, IIRC, with the picks they got from the trade, they were able to pick up Tre White, Edmunds, and Josh Allen. That's actually not a bad haul at this point.
.. But they've GOTTA be kicking themselves for passing up Mahomes. [Reply]

White and Edmunds, yes, not Allen. They used their own first round pick and a trade up to get Allen in 2018. [Reply]

From my experience as a Chiefs fan, it would have been easier on them if those players ended up being busts.
Too many Bills fans believe they made a fine deal. Some of them even believe they got the better end of the deal because they believe in Josh Allen so much.
I think it would be healthier for them if they saw the truth and that deal for what it was. An assraping. [Reply]

My understanding is that the Bills GM in 2017 loved Mahomes but that the owner had just hired McDermott and gave him all the power.
McDermott told the owner not to even come down to watch Mahomes throw on his team visit. [Reply]
