Nzoner's Game Room>NFL Top 100 Players 2019
jjchieffan 08:20 AM 07-23-2019
They began the countdown last night with 91 through 100. The Chiefs got their first entry with Schwartz at 94. How many Chiefs make it this year? Hill should make it, but will he be excluded due to the BS that was hanging over his head most of the off-season? Mahomes should be number 1. Kelce should be ranked pretty high. Frank Clark and Honey Badger both make it I would think. Chris Jones is another. Anyone else?

94 Mitchell Schwartz
85 Frank Clark
36 Chris Jones
21 Travis Kelce
19 Tyreek Hill

Top 100 seems like a pretty lame list to be on. It's 4 or 5 deep at every position on average. That's lamer than the pro-bowl and it's pretty lame these days with all the replacements who get to go.

You forgot Schwartz. But yeah, that's my list too. 7 of the top 100 in the league are Chiefs, including number 1. If we're right, that's impressive.

Yeah. But this isn't a popularity contest like the pro bowl. A lot of guys make the pro bowl that won't make this list. Besides, 32 teams x 53 players is 1696 players. Top 100 is about the top 6% of the league. An average would be about 3 players per team. The Chiefs should more than double that.

Yeah. I meant to mention Watkins and discuss if he made the list. I'm not sure that he makes it though, due to his injury history.

He looked really good in the AFCCG. I would think a lot of players saw it.

I think he's borderline. So probably no at this point.

I highly doubt Watkins is on the list, tons of receivers put up big numbers now.

You guys ever think its funny how when mentioning all the Chiefs targets they always leave out Watkins? Like I get he is injured alot, but common!

We literally have the deepest WR core maybe in NFL History...... But its only Hill/Kelce when national media say anything about it.....

He's just so damn good with the ball in his hands.

I like Watkins and he's got great potential if he can stay on the field. But getting on this list is a combination of two things, production and reputation, and right now he can't lay strong claim to either. I hope he can seize both this year, but in my opinion there's zero chance that he's on the list now.

Chris Jones will be interesting to see. He doesn't have the reputation yet, but he had great production last year. However, we hear the rumors that he freelances a lot, which is something that NFL players would know even if it's hard for us to see. So I'm not sure if he makes it or not. I hope so, just for bragging rights.
