Nzoner's Game Room>How friggin Cold are you?
Hog's Gone Fishin 04:54 PM 02-13-2021
Here in the Texas panhandle 6 degrees all day. Headed for -7 to -10 by Monday.

6-12 inches snow tomorrow/Monday

had to call every tenant to make sure they keep water running or they'll be SOL for a week.

THANK GOD I don't have to deal with the Hog farm any more. I feel for the livestock producers. They earn their money in a big way!

Those bastard on the border trying to check in are fucked in their short sleeve shirts. LOL

Huh, that sounds more like a sticky gas valve, sometimes they won't open and giving them a whack will get them going temporarily. Those intermittent spark ignitions are generally pretty damn reliable, but they will fail eventually like anything else.

Maybe it was, I’m just guessing because like I said it was 20 years ago. I have a two stage furnace now that’s 5 years old and I do yearly maintenance on it because the parts are usually a zillion dollars to replace.

:-) Whoever manages the property is the problem, not the furnace. If they had their shit together it would be a 2 hr repair at most.

Must be a Carrier. Or maybe a Lennox.

Yeah not bad. Biked 30 miles yesterday. the northern CA rains brought the grassy hills back and it's what I call "Ireland time" out here. 65 degrees.

I don’t have any issues with it. And the one I had before lasted 30 years.

And Jesus Christ why didn’t you tell me this before?

It's kind of a joke, mostly because they use brand-specific parts, many which are only available from a Carrier parts supplier, and how much they cost. They're actually really good systems, one apt complex I worked at was half Rheem and other half had Carriers and the Carriers were far less troublesome. I would consider one if I ever had to replace mine.

One fun fact about Carrier, I'm fairly certain they are the only thing I've ever worked on in my entire life where I needed use a 9/32 socket.

This is what is pissing me off about my house. Just under 5 years old and they put in cheap ass windows in Minnesota.

We try to keep the humidity high because my kid gets nosebleeds. And it makes the house feel warmer. I should not have to plastic wrap new windows

My weather station recorded a -37 degree wind chill reading overnight. It's supposed to get to -24 here tonight but the wind is supposed to die out. Then -23 tomorrow night.

Hopefully my two maples that have only been in the ground a year and a half survive.
