Nzoner's Game Room>****Official 2019 Missouri Tigers Football Thread****
'Hamas' Jenkins 06:48 AM 08-31-2019
The 2019 season brings uncertainty, as the protracted appeal over a ridiculous "scandal" with a single actor still has not been resolved. On the field, Mizzou faces what appears to be a much easier schedule than in years' past. The early season is loaded with home games before a protracted road stretch from mid-October through November.

Schedule:

Spoiler!

Recruiting:

Spoiler!

Hamas' Crystal ball sees a lot of variance. I could see this team winning as few as 7 and as many as 10 games. Georgia is the only certain loss. Florida is likely still overrated by name, but time will tell.

Official prediction: 9-3. Recruiting prediction: slightly disappointing

FIRE ODOM. NOW

Who knows, but it's hilarious that he literally just copied and pasted the speech he gave a year ago right down to the 'Sun Belt'

Great hire.

Maybe the 3rd best hiring in Mizzou’s history.

Looking at the 4 playoff teams I have to ask: why fo you even watch that sport? What joy does it give you? Do you like knowing 10 programs always win? It’s literalky the only sport like this. Is it fun going to a minor bowl in some crappy run down city?

Oh good, the Beaker fan is doing the same shit he's done for a decade but in the Mizzou thread.

Yes, yes, yes - college basketball is the only sport that matters and it makes more money and it's more popular and its less predictable and blah blah blah.

I get it, just link to all your bullshit from the conference realignment threads so we can just go back to ignoring you. Thanks.

What's the word on the trail? I see Hester might he a UCLA lean.

This really is year 0. New coach is very promising but will need every bit of 3 years....

Looks like Drink sold JJ Hester on staying. He’s signing Wednesday.

If you're into recruiting rankings ... Mizzou's class sits at No. 80 at 247Sports and No. 71 at Rivals. Those rankings take into account class size, which hurts a smaller class. Measured by average recruit's ranking, MU is No. 44 at 274 and No. 46 at Rivals.

Per 247 report, Mizzou expected to hire TCU co-offensive coordinator Curtis Luper. MU offered his son Chance today. He’s a 3 star WR committed to Boise State.
Luper has mostly coached running backs & WRs. Worked at Auburn with Drinkwitz.

Given the lack of basically everyone from 2017 on developing as they should have, save Bolton, I can't be too disappointed about losing a bunch of Barry Odom's targets. Most of them would likely have been cannon fodder anyway. Keeping Young, Hester, and to a lesser extent, Maclin, in the fold is a positive development. If you're going to eat shit on scholarship reductions, might as well sign a smaller class and then load up for the 2022 season than fill out the roster with a bunch of 2* shitbirds.

And ultimately none of the defections were all that tough. We lost a LBer I liked at some point but otherwise nothing of note.

I guess the fact that this class would've sucked even WITHOUT those defections says a lot about why Odom needed to go.
