Thanks!

That'd be the best way to find out how widespread this bitch is.
it already exists. The USA declined to use it and developed, botched and then redeveloped our own test. Made any tests go to the CDC. Now they are not even considering remote or drive by testing. Whoever has the Presidents ear needs to get up into said ear and tell him this is a fucking crisis. We need to go outside the normal processes here too like South Korea and China did successfully.

The case in Springfield is a woman in her 20's that recently returned from Austria. She contacted her health department (did everything right, didn't just show up to the ER). She's at home in isolation and they presume she will make a full recovery.

last I heard we had 10K ventilators in reserve sitting in government storage somewhere. They were going to OTJT rad techs in the field hospitals. The on-site doctor would make a decision on whether to trust the images taken on a case by case basis.

We just don’t have extra medical Personnel in the USA. The only thing anyone ever come up with was cross training but even that ran into legal issues.

Then there was moral issues. Who gets to be on a ventilator in the hospital? How do you cataogize a decision? They are all on ventilators barely hanging on to life. How do you decide? Who gets to decide?

This idea we are so far behind Italy doesn’t really make sense given we had 20 cases on February 2nd and they had just 4 cases. There doesn’t seem to be a logical reason for us to be just now expecting the masses to hit the hospitals like they were weeks ago.

70+ year old guy died from Covid-19 from Wyandotte. Doesn't sound like they knew he even had it until they did an autopsy. Died at Providence Hospital in Kansas City.

However, a second, highly contagious wave of influenza appeared with a vengeance in the fall of that same year. Victims died within hours or days of developing symptoms, their skin turning blue and their lungs filling with fluid that caused them to suffocate. In just one year, 1918, the average life expectancy in America plummeted by a dozen years.
Thank you.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Leaders of an American Indian reservation in Oregon shut down its casino and several other facilities Monday after an employee contracted coronavirus, and a state health official said the virus is likely circulating and will appear in additional locations in the state.

If they now think 1% of the population has it, that's a big jump in just a short period of time.

Something feels off here.
