You think NYC got that way because of 1 person eh?

What was the name of that town you used an example a while back? The little town in Wyoming or Montana or whatever it was?

We've apparently identified patient zero in NYC. He was a super spreader. I'm sure there were more.

I don't recall mentioning a town in WY or MT. I do recall mentioning a town(s) in Colorado. Why?

Don't forget cruise ships. Look up the term super spreader.

Then they scattered.

The Westport soirée — Party Zero in southwestern Connecticut and beyond — is a story of how, in the Gilded Age of money, social connectedness and air travel, a pandemic has spread at lightning speed. The partygoers — more than half of whom are now infected — left that evening for Johannesburg, New York City and other parts of Connecticut and the United States, all seeding infections on the way.

Westport, a town of 28,000 on the Long Island Sound, did not have a single known case of the coronavirus on the day of the party. It had 85 on Monday, up more than 40-fold in 11 days.

A super spreader in ROK:

KCDC attributed the sudden jump to 70 cases linked to "Patient 31", who had participated in a gathering in Daegu at the Shincheonji Church of Jesus the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony

Yea I get it, cruise ships obviously. And obviously your scenario is possible in certain conditions like the party you referenced and I was incorrect.

You actually just made the same point I have. Totals mean virtually nothing. Percentage of population means everything.

I mean FFS, the KC metro area population alone is 6-7 time that of Iceland. So to use Iceland as some beacon is highly impractical.

In New York, a lawyer contracted the illness then spread it to at least twenty other individuals in his community in New Rochelle, creating a cluster of cases that quickly passed 100, accounting for more than half of SARS2 coronavirus cases in the state
