Had the same experience awhile ago. Got the flu shot, got sick. I know it wasn't FROM the shot - just terrible timing.

Efficacy of the shot varies by season as it is a best guess of the dominant H3N2, and H1N1 strains of influenza A. Influenza B is less prone to mutation, so the two flu B strains covered by the quadrivalent shot offer more durable protection that year.

It takes approximately two weeks to develop an immune response from the shot, and it can be given to anyone other than someone with Guillain-Barre syndrome. You cannot get the flu from the standard shot as it is inactivated.

Normally I don't, but my wife requested I get one this year.
They are free at wok.
And my penis is already suffering from shrinkage anyway

Also doesn't prove you didn't get it because you got the shot.
It's a facade. Sham.
You're a fucking idiot who has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

The internet is chocked full of bad interpretations of data.

The flu shot reduces your chances of contracting by 40%. Said differently, you’re 40% less likely to get the flu. So, not perfect but it does help. You choice as to whether that reduction is worth it to you.

All clearly correct, but the last part is especially salient, given the ignorance that floats out on the intranets.

I'm in the same boat. Three years ago I got talked into taking a flu shot even though I hadn't been sick with the flu for as long as I can remember. Less than 48 hours later I started feeling bad and the next two weeks were the sickest I can ever remember being. Haven't had a shot since then and I haven't been sick since. Hell, I'm in my mid 70's and I haven't even visited a doctor in the last two years. :-)

Edit; Probably didn't get the flu from that shot but I firmly believe that something in that shot made me sick.
