Nzoner's Game Room>***The Official MMA Thread***

Excited about an upcoming fight? Want to make predictions, or just give people a heads-up that there are some fights on? We can do it here.

(Also a good place to complain, dicuss, and agrue about the outcomes)

This guy has never cut like that to my knowledge, so I have no wonder how much that takes out of his endurance especially at his age. That's going to be interesting.

As it is he doesn't cut at all. He just trains and shows up, I doubt he has the diet alot of the other guys have to follow.

Step 1 should be getting a better camp. But we all know that isn't going to happen.

Anyone else stoked for GSP v Shields? I think it will be a good fight. I also like the Aldo v Hominick fight. And you can't forget Randy's last stand. If he can get inside and contro the cage he could beat Machida.

Yes, very stoked about these fights! I'm of the opinion GSP will walk through Shields though. I hope I'm wrong and it is a good fight!

I don't think anyone walks right through Shields. GSP knows this is the biggest challenge he has faced as the Champ @ 170.

I hope you're right. It will be a lot more entertaining if so.

I don't think Shields brings anything to the table for GSP to be concerned about. I think it's going to be another 50-45 fight for GSP.

So looking forward to Saturday.
The gang from my fantasy football pool gathers for our annual "Winter Meeting" of GM's for $ payouts and discussions followed by the fight, all at my place - sending the wife & kid to in-laws for the evening. Should be a hoot.
I love how Hominick is sponsored by my home town CFL team the Hamilton Tiger Cats. He's apparently coming into the ring with their jersey on and will have the logo stitched onto his shorts.

I agree, Shields is very talented but GSP has no equal at 170 IMO.

Ol Pillowfists has a chance to sub GSP in the right condition but I think GSP walks away with the W again.

Rest of the card looks pretty solid. Hope it's better than that last POS.

It would take a mistake like the Matt hughes fight for GSP to get subbed, I don't think that happens here. Aldo is remarkable and I think Hominick is good but will lose. The next card looks like a bit of a turd.
