It's a shame that in 2019 this should even be a thing. One more game I guess.

So the NFL moved the game because of:

Forest fires
Shooting
And because the Rams lost to the saints

Any other reasons?

Good fucking grief. The NFL has been hyping a game in Mexico for decades. They lost a shitload of money and credibility in a major $ market for them. Just nonsense conspiracy theory.

So the reporters were lying about chiefs players going to the NFLPA to get the game moved because of field conditions.

It's just laughable. That the NFL would give up tens of millions of $s on a last minute move... For social justice reasons. That while baseball teams were canceling games left and right for fear of wildfire smoke, the NFL was eager to rush a game right in wildfire territory. The creative minds of some people....

Chiefs organization did not want the game moved. They knew that 2 trucks with sod was already on the highway and the hybrid turf grass field would be resodded starting the Wednesday before the Monday night game.

But with wildfires going on and the aerial photos of the field on the internet, the Rams were in a position to crybaby a change that benefited themselves.

Why do you think the Chiefs are playing a Mexico City game this year?

Chiefs front office people know it would be bad form to have complained about it last year, but as time goes by, you ask Clark Hunt and Brett Veach and Mark Donovan what happened, they will tell you that Chiefs and NFL wanted to play in Mexico City and knew that the field would be ready for a Monday Night game.

The players threatened to boycott. Your claim is just laughably ridiculous. That the NFL would migrate TOWARD a wildfire while other leagues were canceling games. The idea that the NFL who would sell their own babies for $$ took tens of millions in losses because of a sob story or team favoritism. OK sure.

Again, just because the field was ready doesn't mean it was suitable to play. If soccer players were griping about constantly terrible field conditions normally, why would nfl players have any confidence the field would be fine after the field was wrecked... Preparing for a different sport... Clark Hunt is smart enough to know that tyreek or kelce blowing their knees out planting on horrendous turf is a hell of a lot more of a bigger deal than the game being moved to LA.

Good grief.

So yes, Adam schefter and the other reporters who reported chiefs players not wanting to play on that field are all liars. Got it.

This is accurate.

"But derp, derp - Schefter tweeted 'some Chiefs and Rams players' derp derp, and I believe everything the NFL puts out via their propaganda department, derp derp, the NFL can't resod the field within 10 days, Shakira, derp derp DERP!"

If the NFL cared about 'losing a shitload of money and credibility', they would have resodded that field and told the players to **** off. This is a league that has had replacement players during the strike season of 1982 and had a lockout as recently as 2011 - they will have games no matter what players say or do or protest about.

The fact of the matter is, the Chiefs wanted to go ahead and play in Mexico City...but the NFL decided to move the game back to LA.

So, why DID they have the game in LA?

WHY NOT IN PHOENIX OR SAN FRANCISCO OR NEW ORLEANS OR ANY OTHER NEUTRAL LOCATION THAT WAS OPEN ON A MONDAY NIGHT??

To use your own words, why on Earth WOULD the NFL migrate TOWARD a wildfire while other leagues were canceling games?

Doesn't make any sense, does it??

But derp, deep - some nobody on a chiefs forum thinks it's a giant conspiracy to fuck over the chiefs. Derp, deep because the rams needed to have a wins advantage over the saints. Because no way the refs could not call a blatant pass interference if the rams dont have home field advantage in the playoffs deep deep DERP!

Because the only point of a neutral site game is to promote the nfl in places where it isnt already. Like, you know, London, or mexico. And the rams were the home team.

Because the Rams were the home team. It made the most sense.

I've read some awesome conspiracy theories here but this one is right up there in hilariousness.
