Anyone have an idea of how much cap space we had going into the weekend?
There's some speculation on Twitter that according to the NFLPA Report, the Chiefs have somehow lost around $8M in cap space today and are sitting at $3.5M

You can't just keep loading bad personalities on a team and expect Reid to manage them. [Reply]
Josh Gordon wasn't even good the last time he returned. Sure it was on a turd team, but there's a good possibility that the 2013 Gordon doesn't exist anymore. [Reply]
So there's all kinds of things that can affect your cap mid-season, including injury settlements, contract extensions, etc. Surprsing that something would have such a significant effect as $8M and not be reported yet, however.
Sometimes there is significant lag in salary cap adjustment after something big was reported. That's because the league office sometimes takes a bit to get and then approve the contract that was announced a week or two ago or whatever. Anything like that happen here?
No way it's injury settlement. Those are typically small dollars. [Reply]

Especially when 2 of them had outbursts during a prime time win.
Unless Gordon can finally kick the habit he is done in the NFL and it is a shame because he could have rewritten the record book if he could have kept clean. [Reply]

Buy low, sell high.
Every time Alex makes these great plays, I can just hear the draft picks rolling in.
Basic business?
If your business is in a position to stay #1 in the market you don't sell off your CEO to a potential competitor to save some dollars.
Marketing director? HR director? Sure.
