That's actually going to be an interesting to watch with all the spring breakers going home. Will it wreck the whole last week of everything being shut down? I guess we'll find out. All the colleges shutting down was probably a good idea in retrospect, otherwise they'd all probably blow up with cases by next week.

Honestly, they should all be quarantined for 2 weeks.

Yeah... Probably wishful thinking but lets hope it didn't spread too much during spring break among those kids.

They'll go home to do their online classes and infect their entire family. What kind of parent lets their kid go on Spring Break during this?

Face it — we’re not really locked down. Too many people are still congregating and moving around. I get why things like the subway are on but until that stuff is shut down this is going to take longer to climb out of — maybe in a couple weeks with thousands are dying every day things will change?

Seasonal I thought? but it felt unusual/different… Two weeks later, March 15th,I woke up with all those same symptoms but super intense body aches ,and 102.4 fever.
I have no idea who this person is... BUT it begs the question... how often has this occurred? What if this situation is the norm and not the exception? Keep this in mind anytime you look at the numbers and remember we have NO CLUE how many people are already immune at this point. It could be .25% or it could be 25%. This virus has been running wild in America for MONTHS now. The first one we KNOW ABOUT is from late January...

It's low, that's the only thing we know for sure. Old people are dying in nursing homes and other places w/o ever getting tested.

Same for all those people who were crammed into O'Hare and other airports coming back from Europe last weekend. They're hitting the end of the average incubation period right now.

This may be true in some places, but not everywhere. It's a clinical decision

Right before the incubation period ends for a lot of the spring break kids.

I’m in favor of locking down NYC like I Am Legend. Keep them from spreading it to the rest of the country.

Video of a hospital in Spain. Watch it. Watch it again with the volume up.
Now cancel that brunch.
Postpone that coffee meet-up.
Rain check that dinner with friends.
Sucks doesn’t it? But not as hard as this #COVIDー19 #coronavirus #StayAtHome
