KC values versatility out of their DL/OL which is why Dorsey was a Metric/SPARQ fanatic.

If you believe Veach factors in measurables with game tape
then Foley Fatukasi is a target prospect.

I’m going to go on record and say KC moves up for either Josh Jackson or Isiah Oliver.

I'd add Carlton Davis to that list. I don't know that KC will try to get up into 1, but if they get around 40, where KC could legitimately use just a 3rd to get up there, I think they'll pull the trigger.

I really think a trade up into the 40s is a legit possibility. Maybe even end of round 1, which would be good to get an extra year of control for a player. But KC needs as many picks early as possible. Depending on the board, I wouldnt mind moving down to pick up more picks in rounds 3 and 4.

I do think that corner appears to be the strongest position in early rd 2, and if we are trading up, it would have to be for a premier position.

I bet Chris Ballard would trade 37 to us for a 2019 2nd and 2018 6th. He does have three 2nd rd picks and would surely jump at the opportunity to move down for a 2nd rd pick next year to help build his team further.

I agree - Davis is the best scheme fit if indeed Sutton wants to return to a heavy press man deployment. Kid is physical as heck, strong and competes.

Spitballing:
Eagles at 32 and the Seahawks at 18 could make prime trade targets because both lack trade capital with only 6 picks each.

With the Seahawks in a rebuild, I would offer them pick number 54, the 2019 second rounder from the Rams, our original 2018 third rounder and maybe throw in the 6th rounder to boot.

At 18 you can get a premier Corner or DL. Taven Bryan, DaRon Payne, Jaire Alexander or Mike Hughes are arguably all on the board at that point. You get a 5 year option on a guy.
Safety, pass rush and OG can still be addressed in the 3rd/4th.
Seattle nets three extra picks and moves the rebuild along...

No way. It would take next years second and this years third (probably more) to get up thst high.

No need to move up that high.

I wouldn’t give up that much unless it was for a sure thing perennial pro bowl type guy at a premium position and if they make that kind of gamble they better be right.

Phillips would be a quality add at 54 but it's not clear if he can be a 3 down player and if not, 54 is too high a pick to use on him I think.

If RJ McIntosh is there in the 4th round (or second pick in 3rd at highest), I think he would be my guy. Probably expected to sit for a year again but that doesn't matter so much if you get him in the 4th and he's more likely to be able to pass rush.
I’m warming up to McIntosh. He has similar quickness and lateral agility to Chris Jones. He will only get better.
I do not like Phillips at 54. No pass rush upside whatsoever- he simply bull rushes. Solid anchor in the run game, but you don’t draft “Mike DeVito” in round two.

2. C. Davis or Q. Meeks (Corner)
3. Ian Thomas (TE)
3. Jerome Baker (LB/S)
4. RJ McIntosh (DL)
4. Duke Eliojor - stock falling due to combine injury, pedestrian testing (Edge)
6. Dane Cruikshank (S)

Veach signs Kendall Wright - REC
Veach signs Eric Reid - S

To get up to 18 and give that number of picks up I would want Vita Vea, Derwin James or Minkah Fitzpatrick to have fallen I think

I don't like Meeks as your alternative no.2 pick, I think he goes a lot lower? I like the rest though, drafting TE in the third is good if we sign a FA receiver and safety like you suggest.

This is where the lack of depth and lack of a first round pick gets frustrating, as there's a lot of spots like WR/TE/G/C where I would like a guy drafted but considering the defense some of it just has to wait till next year if we can't pick up FAs

No Secret #Chiefs love Mike Hughes. Targeting Corner Rd2. Don’t be surprised if trade up from 54. Mike Hughes is their crush. Few other names... Dorance Armstrong, Malik Jefferson, Frank Ragnow, Braden Smith, Josh Sweat. Chiefs shown ain’t afraid being bold.
