I don't get it myself. ATL? What the **** do they have? Weathers no different from the Midwest. They are not giving so much of a better deal in tax breaks. Why would top talent want to live there over 10 places on that list?
Atlanta's weather isn't Florida but it's definitely not the Midwest either, and there's little threat of hurricanes. Cost of living in a place like Atlanta or Dallas is a bit less than other major cities. Plus ATL has a major advantage with a huge airport.

I think DC as well. Bezos recently bought a $23 million mansion in the DC area and intends to spend a lot of time there. He owns the Washington Post and I think he wants to be more involved with that too.

Austin is on that short list as well. Not sure I am excited about adding 50K more people on the roads though. We are already one of the fastest growing cities in the country and this will just ramp this up further.

Of course my house value would continue to skyrocket! :-)

Other than the terrible traffic, lack of mass transportation, lack of skilled labor, and lack of English speakers... Miami/South Florida is a great fit, not.

Also if the global warming predictions are true, then Miami will be underwater in about 70 years.
