Yes, I've seen that as well. Which is the version you would recommend? 70mm standard or IMAX. (I don't mean IMAX 70mm just IMAX) I'm just looking for the best experience. I think you are saying go see it in IMAX without actually saying that. :-)
I have no idea what perf means by the way.

Very true. There is "LieMax" as well. AMC uses these screens alot. They are bigger screens, promoted as IMAX, but they are actually smaller than true IMAX size. [Reply]
Saw it today at IMAX at the AMC in Olathe and I would say it is one of the top war movies of all time. Just another brilliant film by Nolan and I highly recommend everyone go watch it. [Reply]
Saw it earlier today in IMAX. The loudest movie I have heard in my life I think?
Overall it was good and well made, but not my favorite Nolan. It basically left me cold. The lack of a traditional narrative kept me from getting into any of the characters
Admired the filmmaking at work, but wanted more story. [Reply]

Spoke to a 92 y/o veteran in front of the theater beforehand, he saw it earlier and said he couldn't hear it very well(!)
He probably couldn't make out dialogue very well. Everything sounds mushy and not very clear no matter what the volume is. Pretty common with noise-related hearing loss. [Reply]

A lot of the dialogue (what little there was) was muffled. The spitfire pilots especially. I'm pretty sure that was intentional by Nolan. He has a history of muffled dialogue in his films. Bane, Intersteller. [Reply]
Over 300,000 troops were saved using 800 small boats but in the movie it looked like they only had 1000 troops on the beach and about 40 small boats showing up.

I noticed that as well, I'm thinking Nolan could've CGI in a few hundred more boats easily but just chose to view what one would see if they were on the beach. Everything is from first person view point you only see what is around you not the hundreds of boats going all across the channel. Same as being on the beach you only saw what troops there were in your sight looking up and down the beach not all 300,000 troops
