Honestly, I'd gotten numb BECAUSE CHIEFS

I remember having CP open, reading your takes periodically, but also randomly surfing the 'net with the draft on in the background.

Hope had long since left me.

And holy shit, they did it.

and here we are, in 2022, with the future HOF'er at QB about to start phase two of the Mahomes era

-and none of you wet blankets can kill my joy.

It is a glorious thing to be a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs in this time frame.

I remember that day well. I was in Dallas at a conference. I went up to my counterpart who represents a similar organization in Lubbock to tell him the news, and he was like meh, and I was like fock you we got a QB :-)
