No, the malaria drugs already exist and can be mass produced for next to nothing. They have been proven to work in nearly every case albeit a small sample size. There are clinical trials in the US that have started with these drugs.

There are a few others in existence that are being tested now to potentially combat COVID-19 as well.

Vaccines are probably end of year or next year. New drugs are probably 6 months out + as well.

My money is on the malaria drugs but there will be push back from lawmakers and drug companies because they won't get paid.
