Somehow my wife Ok'd me to "chaperone" her brother and a few of his friends in Vegas for his 21 bday.
Headed out there this weekend. Staying at the Bellagio, got a good deal on a room then got it upgraded to a suite somehow for like 20 extra bucks per night.
Any recommendations on what or where to hit up?
I've been a handful of times so I know a few places, just looking for any other ideas. Where is the best sports book for the Sunday games? [Reply]

Also suggest the helicopter tour to Grand Canyon...awesome!!
Second that about Absinthe. Not a bad seat in the house. Tickets are so expensive and it's an intimate atmosphere. If you are easily offended, you might want to sit it out though. [Reply]
They have a Giordano's Pizza out there. Great for middle of the day munching.
Carnival Court at the Linq is a shitload of fun. The 21 yo's would love it.
Everything else I would recommend has already been mentioned. Maybe take the young ins to Dick's Last Resort in Excalibur, that would be right up their alley. [Reply]
I won the most money at the poker tables at excalibur and Planet Hollywood had the best tournaments. The cigar bar at Mandalay Bay has a great view of the strip.
I stayed at the Vdara in between Aria and Cosmopolitan. I saw Marcus Allen at a Derek Jeter event at Aria. Cosmopolitan is the most over the top place I saw. I think the parking garage itself is made out of marble. Crazy.
I didn't think it was worth the trip to the old downtown area myself but I did well at the Golden Nugget tables too. [Reply]

I'd guess that Vegas is probably one of the safest places to go with all the surveillance and security on properties. Not going to let some crazy MoFo dictate my travel plans.
I get out every day. just wouldn't go to Vegas and give my money away to BILLIONAIRE casino owners. Vegas is there and there for ONE reason ONLY. TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. Have fun suckers. [Reply]

No. I was not there during the massacre. I'm just turned off towards the whole vegas thing. I was totally into it in my 20's, back in the 80's. [Reply]

A. You absolutely made it appear that you no longer go to Vegas because of the mass shooting. Now, you say it’s because it exists to take your money. Which one is it?
B. All entertainment venues and vendors are there for the same reason you chastise Vegas. The movies, sports leagues, restaurants, etc. They all just want your money as well. Therefore, as has always been the case, your personal entertainment dollar is only as valuable as what you desire to spend it on. Whether you want to spend it on a safari, at the flea market, or in Vegas, that money is gone. So you might as well spend it on whatever floats your boat. [Reply]

Plus a betting station connected to the sportsbook is right outside the theater.
