Hear me out. Or defense consistently lets teams drive down the field chewing up clock. Sometimes we hold them once they get into the red zone, sometimes we let them score. It's not often we force them to punt. Either way, they chew up a bunch of clock and grind it down the field. We've consistently shown that we don't force many 3 and outs. Teams have no problem driving down the field on us.
Why not just go for it on 4th down every time? Give our offense more chances to keep the drive alive and try to score. The worst thing that happens is we give the other team great field possession. We've seen with this defense field position doesn't matter. [Reply]
Shit, why not? Worse case is that we don't cget it and give them a short field. But that allows them to score faster and lets us get the ball back sooner. At least then they can't dominate TOP. [Reply]
I don't care if it's 4th and 10 at our own 40. Go for it. We don't make it? Doesn't matter. Giving it to them at our 40 or their 20 might as well be the same. Our Defense only seems to step it up on our end of the field on the rare cases it does stop someone.
