The Chiefs have released Berry with a post-June 1 designation, a source tells me. Means the Chiefs will save around $9.5m on the cap this year and $5.5m next year.

I think he’ll retire in a few months. He tried playing last year as early as the opening week of camp, but it’s clear that his body is done. Dude has been through so much that he just needs to retire and begin a new life.
