On 3rd & 14 leading 22-17, Chad Henne scrambles left for 13 yards setting up a 4th & inches situation for the @Chiefs with less than two minutes to go.
It's funny because we talked about this the other week, but Andy Reid has a long history of getting the most out of his backup QBs. From Jeff Garcia to Vick to Foles to Matt Moore last year. There aren't many who've done better.
Henne made one really awful mistake but otherwise played pretty well. Threw some darts around and certainly stepped up when it mattered most. Pretty amazing for a guy that before the week 17 game had thrown 5 NFL passes in the last 6 years. [Reply]

I trashed on him for the pick, but yeah credit where due for his pluck [Reply]

Literally nowhere in my post did I say he was even a good #2. I said he showed guts in the biggest game of his life and put the game on ice, despite that horrible INT.
He should be remembered for helping us win the game. [Reply]
Chad Henne is the backup quarterback for my favorite National Football League team, the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a very close 4th down situation and the other team thought they were going to try to draw them offsides before a punt, but then he said "hike," and they for sure did hike the ball and you know what? Chad Henne completed a pass to Tyreek Hill for a first down. That let my favorite football team the Kansas City Chiefs win the game and will host the AFc Championship game for the third time in a row, which, I have been told, is a record. [Reply]
