I am not sure why they went with a conventional superhero story for the first one.
You call in the Suicide Squad when you want to do things with:
1)Plausible deniability ie the supervillains are there because they are supervillains.
2)Things need to be done that superheros won't do ie destabilize a government.
3)Things happened or need to be done that if they got out would be a huge scandal ie a supervillain stole one of your nukes and is selling it to the highest bidder. [Reply]
