Did she have neg tests before being considered recovered, and how long after did she get sick again.

Hey Hamas , have you heard anymore on whether or not they still think there is a correlation between initial viral load and severity of symptoms.

Lets be honest here. What you claimed 10 days ago was if not another person contracted Covid at that time 200,000 people MINIMUM in the US would die.

I think he was trying to take bets on 100k at some point, but it’s been a long thread .

What I stated is exactly what he said.

If we continue to have 2k deaths per day we will easily hit 200K dead by the end of summer. Then the second big wave will hit in the fall.

Excluding the New York tristate area, national covid19 infections, hospitalizations, and deaths continue to increase. The national doubling time has rise to about 25 days, but the epidemic continues to slowly expand. And covid spread - although slower - remains persistent. pic.twitter.com/isse2NRvpA

Even as more economic activity is restarted, covid is expanding in many states and we face a persistent plateau of 30,000 daily cases and 2,000 deaths. A lot of the spread is clustered in disadvantaged communities and in at risk environments. We must focus intense resources there pic.twitter.com/QDYXL43iHm

Not exactly sure where the idea that everything is fine and we're past the peak is coming from at this point.

Gottlieb made an interesting point this morning on CNBC when he said if we are sticking with only catching 1 in 10 infections..well you do the math.

Gotta open up the economy and make billions for those who will still be at home isolating.

To me the biggest problem, if those numbers hold accurate, is you basically take yourself right back to square 1, causing another big spike, closing everything again and then people are going to be even more pissed about it.

I think if we open up and it starts exploding again it will destroy the economy worse than it already has.

Trying to get people back to work has nothing to do with what is best and getting back to normal. It is all about greed and getting people off unemployment.

The biggest thing to me here is that it took a virus to make people realize just how fragile and craptastic the economy really is. When a month of shutdown causes what this has caused it really shows how much things need to change, it's 2020 not 1930.

Also it has really brought to light, at least to me, how much the cult of work is still very prevalent among even the poorest of people.

So what is the cult of work mean?

Past the peak doesn't mean off the mountain. And it's starting to look like the other side of the peak is a very gradual decline, unfortunately.

I think it is more we made it to the top of the mountain. We think we have conquered it but we can't see through the clouds that we have another much taller and dangerous mountain just ahead.
