I posted this in the other thread, but people who rank Aaron Donald as the best in the league regardless of position (which is a fucking stupid term anyway, because then we need to see way more kickers and punters on these lists) are fucking idiots, too.
He's incredible. He's amazing. He is. I'm not shitting on him. But he's not better at being a DT than Mahomes is at being a QB.
It's entirely a case of people trying to sound smart and intelligent by cutting against grain of the league's QB-driven culture.
I get it. It's a noble goal. It's important to acknowledge the accomplishments of all these other incredible athletes who don't quite fit mold of athlete that is an NFL QB. Because so many of them work just as fucking hard to accomplish their goals, too.

I'm guessing some of NFL players probably just looked at his stats and said "meh, pedestrian numbers compared to last year" and didn't pay attention at all to the fact that he was injured and that much of his offense was decimated for a 2-3 game stretch. [Reply]

There's comments out there from fans that I know who think he can't keep up his play. I think many people want to hate his early success because it's just to unbelievable at this point, however, because he displays himself so well they can't openly hate him. But many are rooting against him.
