White cotton gloves rewashable works like a charm. Learned from from the pros at bbq contests.

Sometimes you can find at Ace westlake Hardware. I have used the knife safety gloves also they work but a bit bulky I like them tight.

My first try at competition style ribs. Foiled now with brown sugar, honey, rub, sauce, and butter. Never tried it like this, but that seems to be the combo the competition guys recommend.

I use those cut proof gloves pretty regularly.

Another batch of jambalaya on tap today

Red, green and yellow bell pepper
Celery
Onion
Paprika
One diced tomato
Garlic
Riley’s Cajun seasoning
Chicken stock replaces the water
Johnsonville smoked pork sausage that looks awesome, almost pure white
Two bags of uncooked shrimp folded in at the very end after it’s pulled from the heat and left to softly cook that way with the lid on

It NEVER disappoints, ever

I looove jambalaya. Good call on the smoked sausage. I know andouille is standard, but I prefer the flavor of smoked.

I have a bag of mixed seafood in the freezer - shrimp, calamari, clams, mussels, and bay scallops that's destined for jambalaya soon.

Very first time I made this andouille was used because I wanted total authenticity, but it turned out I don’t care for it at all and started just going with regular kielbasa

Today is the first time I’ve tried Johnsonville of this kind, and it looked to be worth the premium price, very clean and white looking

I bet you get some great seafood down there in Alabama, your jambalaya is surely a treat

I can make due with 1/2 a paper towel, why haul a bloody glove home and bleach it? Looks nice but I bet nitrile gloves will grab membrane just fine.

Nope slippery.

Paper towels are fine but I think we all know what happens they get soggy. Really doesnt matter it was a suggestion stick to what you do. We all know its the bestest ever. If I have a problem with hauling home and throwing a glove in a washer then I have become the laziest bastard on the planet.
