What the **** are you talking about? Literally nobody has ever said that and you clearly don’t even get the point if that’s what you think is being said.
The Chiefs and Mahomes’ team are just conspiring to give Veach the credit huh? It was all a lie for what exactly? Because if you’re going against the “narrative” that Veach was the first guy pounding the table for Pat is false that’s exactly what you’re saying since that “narrative” comes from both sides.
Nobody said the story was false. He was a personnel guy who liked a qb and made a recommendation. Credit him for bringing mahomes to Reid and Dorseys attention. Is the story exaggerated... Yeah, Reid and Dorsey are two very hands on guys. Blowing the narrative up as if Veach was the only guy screaming for this guy seems very farfetched. I'd bet veach highly recommended mahomes, Dorsey and Reid did extensive due diligence and loved what they saw. The problem is when people diminish everyone else's role in the mahomes pick to prop veach up. It's a shining star on his resume but it can't be his only one. [Reply]

Dorsey has not spoken badly about the Chiefs. Neither has Ballard. Even though they both have reason to not be happy. They're professionals and I doubt either are egotistical enough to care who gets credit. Especially when it's probably not untrue that veach deserves some credit for the pick. I'm sure they notice or even care that some would actually believe that people actually believe veach deserves absolute credit for the pick. [Reply]

It was released by the Browns' former OL coach when they were talking about the Kitchens hire, and how Dorsey didn't want to deal with a nig name or established because of the difference of opinions among prospects.it was also insinuated that John had to be sold on Mahomes because of the boom or bust element. As I stated before Patrick was 2nd to 3rd pick prospect among some NFL scouting departments. Dorsey could've been among those that didn't believe Mahomes was a 1st round prospect. [Reply]

I haven't heard anything that Dorsey ever opposed the pick. A lot of speculation based on a very different situation. Dorsey took lots of risks in kc, like peters and tyreek, so I don't see him being safe. I totally get why he'd go safe in Cleveland though. Even if we assume Dorsey had no role, you'd have to assume Reid opposed the pick. My guess is that veach did a good job getting mahomes scouting report in front of Reid, and Reid was easily sold... You know Reid was Gung ho about the pick because even Clark was totally sold at the draft. [Reply]
While Veach loves Mahomes and scouted him etc, from what we've seen. Does anyone think if he had been the GM at the time he'd have pulled off the trade Dorsey did? I feel like he'd have either been outmaneuvered or given up a ton more based on his other trades. [Reply]

Lol
Dorsey’s so much better at trades than Veach that he got Eric Murray for Ogbah! Just raped him.
And Vernon for Zeitler! Another great trade by Dorsey this offseason.

Yea he did, but to assume Veach isn’t capable because of his recent trades while completely ignoring Dorsey’s is hilarious and proof that Mecca has an agenda that he’s pushing. [Reply]
I really don't get how you could still pine for Dorsey. Dude is absolutely botching Mayfield with that idiotic decision to trade Zeitler and giving him that absolute trash can Hue Jackson for his first year head coach and then a gladhanding yesman in Kitchens as his next head coach. [Reply]

If I'm Clark Hunt, he gets fired tomorrow. No questions asked. Send a message that these guys need to start getting it right with the roster (OL and defense).
If Reid doesn't get the whole package fixed by next year, he's done too. [Reply]
