THIS Kansas can win the national title.

It's amazing how McCormack finding his limited role makes this team 15 points better.

This is the McCormack the teams needs.

Nah, we should just be happy to eviscerate WVU right now.

Finally we stopped feeding McCormack on offense and played around the perimeter. If we take even close to that many threes going forward, this team will be incredibly hard to beat.

KU could/should have won that game by 30 had that random scrub not had the half of his life.

Wtf was going on out there? That felt like a philosophical change. Guys were chucking the 3 with confidence. Even early in the clock. Thats not Bill Self bball traditionally. If that means less turn around finesse shots for McKormack then hell yeah. Let it fly.

WV needed 37 FT's too barely beat a shitty ISU team.....
Kinda surprised to see them as the number 7 team in the country.

You still can't give McCormack credit. He had a very good game. This is the way we need him to play.

Throwing the rock up 36 times is a major recipe for disaster.

Happy we we hitting them. :-)

Uhhh what

2020 basketball welcomes you.

This is the norm. Better get used to it.

It took bball coaches 3 decades to figure out a 3 pt shot is indeed worth more than a 2 pt shot.

True. Just like how there are only 3 things that can happen when you throw the ball in football, two of which are bad. Chiefs should really stop running the risky passing plays and start grinding it out.

Huh? I didn't say anything negative about McCormack.

He had a "good game" because he stopped taking and/or forcing shots. If he's the 5th offensive option instead of the 1st or 2nd (and the team plays around its perimeter shooting), it's far more palatable to have him out there.

It's actually the only recipe for this team to succeed.

Not really. Rick Pitino ran a 3-point shooting offense at Kentucky. In 1989 Roy Williams and KU destroyed Kentucky 150-95 because Pitino wouldn't pull his starters and was still chucking up threes 8 seconds into the shot clock.

I think it took the 3-pointer a while to permeate all lower levels of basketball, and therefore it took a while for coaches to learn how to coach the 3-point shot as part of regular offense, or even as the focus on offense, so it took a while for players to develop their shooting skills from a young age.
