Oh, well than woops. I don't go into there since the last thing I need is an animal tearing up the house. Already got a 4 year old for that.

Feel the oncomings of a cold so went out for a bowl of ramen last night. May do round 2 this evening.

Sounds great. :-)

Pretzel Buns are so hit and miss. When they are fresh they are great as long as they aren't too think. When they get stale they are horrible because they are so much denser than normal rolls.

I didn't use sweetened coconut. I never buy that kind even when using for a cake topping. The sauce I made to dip them in was semi-sweet though. I forgot to post a picture of that.

I was never crazy about the idea myself, but some friends had it down by the beach one evening. So I got curious. Mainly because it was so brown in color when coconut is white. I thought I'd see how that could happen and it didn't taste the good when I tried some. But this actually tasted very good and went well with the rice cooked in Thai coconut milk with some lime zest and cilantro. I was surprised at how good the shrimp tasted. I'd definitely make this one again.

Is that saffron on top?

I love a ramen soup bowl like that.

They're actually chili threads. Mostly used as a garnish, but also impart some flavor.

It's a bit warm here yet for ramen or soup season in general, but it's my go-to if I feel cold symptoms coming on.

Really. Never seen or heard about those before. I like how they look. They add panache.
