I think they're dead last so I guess if they had on good authority from him that he was going to re-sign with them if he reached FA, they could choose not to claim him and pay him the vet minimum for the last 2 weeks; save them a couple hundred thousand in cap space.

Wait so is he eligible for the playoffs under either scenario (signed off waivers or cleared waivers and signs with the Ravens)? Or none of them?

Either way...win move by the chiefs. Hope he comes in...feels dumb to play all year then quit when you have a SB chance

I think waivers are eligible - just not trades.

At least I really want that to be true - and Clay shows me that if you want hard enough you can make things come true with your mind. Except when it doesn't work.
