IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Hey Warrick, if you have something you want to say to me, I suggest you do it in public instead of hiding like a bitch.

Tell us all what's got your jimmies so rustled.

That’s a pretty damn good Patriots defense. Some folks here seem to be forgetting this angle.

His backpedaling is hurting his game. He does not trust his interior lineman and he has lost some of his lateral quickness within the pocket since hurt. He seems to be overcompensating by backpedaling to buy time.

Patrick has spoiled us to the point of severely overreacting when he looks mortal.

Kudos to you for calling a spade a spade.

Pat has basically been Trubisky since the Titans game.
:-) Are you going to troll ever thread with your Mahomes hate?

Seems like today was more about the hurt hand.

Same.

The thing is, even when he does, he's still making game-changing throws almost every week.

That ball to Hardman was superhuman.

Converted 3rd and 19 and a 2nd and 25 on that drive IIRC. With a fucked up hand, against a really good defense.

People on here were bitching about him taking a timeout before 3rd and 19.

How about you just let the MVP do his thang, Chief. :-)

We won in spite of Mahomes today. Andy called some bad plays. A couple really bad plays. Kelce was a buttfucking moron in the 2nd half. But Mahomes didn't hold the fort or do the game manager thing even. He made some bad decisions. He did some things that prevented potential scores in the 2nd half that would have put the game away awhile ago.

No, I'm not worried. No, I'm not even going to say, "He needs to play better." He'll get it. The game will slow down for him. Defenses are continuing to throw everything and the kitchen sink at him. He's going to spot all of that shit and become a freaking supercomputer. Andy thought Alex had "gigabytes?" He ain't seen nothing like what Pat is going to be. Possibly as early as next season.

But Mahomes got frustrated. He missed open receivers. The pressure rattled him just a bit, and it forced him to get rid of the ball to shorter options that the Patriots could swallow up.

I'm gonna say this again. I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT MAHOMES. He's going to be fine. He's going to continue to play amazing. He's come in the clutch before, and he'll do it MANY more times in the future.

Tonight he was a young QB and didn't deliver in the 4th quarter. That's okay. It's one game. It resulted in a win. He'll be fine. We'll be fine. I'm just calling it like I see it.
You are correct.... PM2 is, after all: a human being.... shocking, I know.... but mistakes that equal a win, against the patriots, in Foxboro, are less important to the overall picture than anything that says he sustaining time consuming game he actually played. I’d love both worlds to live together. And maybe someday they will, but for now, I’m still firmly in the Mahomes boat.

This was right after Kelce's dumbass fumble. Mahomes was yelling at Kelce, w/o yelling directly at him. And Kelce's like YEAH PREACH BROTHER! - trying to play it off.
