Outstanding worth reading

This means very little, considering there are people like me (and I know nearly 10 others) who doctors are positive have CV but have tested negative or not been tested at all because their symptoms aren't severe.

I mean, it sounds great but we have no fucking clue how many/who actually has it.

First day without a headache, so that's a positive. Other symptoms haven't really changed though. Fluctuations in temp seem to be steadying. I've been between 99.3 and 100.1 all day.

A major hospital in KC has developed a point system to decide who gets a ventilator and who doesnt when/if they run out of ventilators. Most area KC hospitals will adopt a similar point system.

It’s expected that here in the USA and England, most hospitals will use a point system instead of the Doctors opinion of whoever happens to be on duty. Trying to make it a more clinical decision, take emotion out of the decision.

Italy had that issue. If the patients family was there, the doctor knew them personally, was a politician, etc. they could get a ventilator even if they had long odds to survive or ever come off the vent. Which meant others didn’t get a vent. So two lives were lost instead of just one.

Who knows, but same site has Kansas peaking a full three weeks earlier. Essentially has us being "over" the virus by end of May, but Missouri looks like end of June.

Kansas locked down earlier? Maybe that’s why?

Missouri has a LOT more people and are more densely grouped than Kansas.

The KC Metro area locked down first including both sides of the state line. It was a week or so later before the entire state of Ks was locked down. Mo still hasn't locked down the state.
