Nzoner's Game Room>Favorite game you’ve been to?
comochiefsfan 07:42 PM 05-23-2020
For me it’s probably 2018 vs the Ravens (Mahomes no-look pass and 4th and 9 game). A VERY close second would be the Divisional Game last year against the Texans.

Least favorite being the Wild Card catastrophe against the Titans (still can’t believe Andy abandoned Kareem during that 2nd half).

Honorable mention is 2014 against the Donks on Sunday Night. I went to that game as a neutral NFL fan mainly to see Peyton Manning before he retired. We got creamed, but even though we lost, I fell in love with the atmosphere at Arrowhead and came away feeling a connection to the Chiefs and the crowd at the game. I haven’t missed a Chiefs game since.

Simply put, there’s no place like Arrowhead. Anybody else have some favorite stories of games they’ve been to?

I think that was week 2 and both teams were 0-1. The shot of Joe Bugle when Rison caught that was priceless. It was like someone hit-punched him and that Raiders team never recovered.

2020 Titans, 2018 Ravens, 2020 Texans, 2004 Colts, (don’t remember year) vs Raiders when LJ scores last minute to win.

Greatest sports event I’ve ever attended, though, was the 2014 Royals vs A’s WC game.

That Chargers game was one of my favorite classic. Vanover with the walk-off punt return.

Frank Gifford (I think) saying “he’s gone” once Vanover made it past the first wave of tacklers was just awesome.

I've never lived in KC as an adult, so most of my games have been away games. I've had some great memories at Arrowhead, but the one that sticks out to me the most is the OT win at Pile High in 2016 - the doink game. Was sitting in the EZ on the side the winning FG went through, and hearing the stadium go silent was glorious. Just a great game all around, with a perfect ending.

Best tailgating memory, Vikings @ Chiefs in 2011. Was there with Vikings-fan friends, and we ventured over to a Vikings tailgate for their sake, pregame. Ended up doing a jello shot with Tommy Kramer, which was pretty great - my favorite brush with fame, lol.

We lost, but the playoff loss @ Indy is an all time great and I was there. Incredible game.

1) Chiefs at Chargers, 2018, Week 1: the majority of the touchdowns scored were at our corner of the end zone. We were about six rows up from the field. I watched Tyreek Hill run right towards us twice: first on his punt return for a TD, and secondly on Mahomes' first ever touchdown pass.

2) Chiefs at Chargers, 2017, Week 17: the game where we clinched the AFC West thanks to Denver beating Oakland. Also, this was the last Chargers game in San Diego and there were so many Chiefs fans. Holy shit, it was ridiculous.

3) Raiders at Chiefs, 2013, Week 6: 3rd and 48, and Arrowhead claimed the "loudest stadium" crown for a few weeks until Seattle reclaimed it.

4) Bills at Chiefs, 2010, Week 8: the game that ended 13-10 on the final play of overtime thanks to a Ryan Succop field goal. Not the most entertaining game, but I got an extra quarter of football for the price of a ticket. I suppose that's pretty good.

I've been to a lot of Chiefs games in Denver, a few more in LA/San Diego, one in Houston (Texans), and a one more at Arrowhead that didn't end quite as nice (vs NYG). The earliest game I've attended was a 1994 victory vs Seattle at Arrowhead.

My 2 favorites:

2020 AFCCG: took a miracle to get to KC because of plane delays but I made it with my son and watched KC make the SuperBowl

2016 Thursday night against Raiders. Year before we drafted His Highness but great game. We beat Oakland on national TV.

It should have been last year's AFC Championship Game, but that prick Ford had other ideas. :-)

Since that's my only Chiefs playoff game, I'd have to say the 2003 Donx game where Hall had the massive punt return to win the game was the best Chiefs game. Had the 37 Forever banquet that weekend - probably the funnest weekend I've ever had.

But best game at Arrowhead - 2007 Kansas/Missouri. :-)

Being from Europe I've only been to 3 games but was lucky enough to have gone to Chiefs Falcons in 2016 the Pick2 game. A great backward and forwards game and probably Eric Berry's last great game in Chiefs Red.

I was on vacation in florida at the time and was given a day pass by my wife to fly out to Atalanta, it was a great experience, I remember being sat next to a British Falcons fan who lived about an hour from me and was also taking the day out from his florida vacation. Also bumped into a friend from England who I coached with, who had been travelling the world with his girlfriend ... True "Small world moments.

Only been to Arrowhead 1 time and the experience was amazing but the game wasnt that great..
bets tailgate Ive ever been too..people were so friendly ...giving food and beers to everyone..it was great

being from NY the best game I watched live was 2002 vs the Jets. .

Great ending... i was wearing a Priest Holmes Jersey in a pretty aggressive section of Giants Stadium

first and only time I saw Derrick Thomas was against the Jets in 1992. I had amazing seats..a DT jersey and a big DT sign. . camera guy told us before the game if DT makes a big play I coming right to you and youll be on TV. .

Unfortunately zero sacks for DT. . but I got a few photos:

56 to 10 thumping of the Dirty Birds 8 rushing touchdowns between Priest Holmes and Derrick Blaylock against the number one rated rushing defense.

Doing the wave in the second quarter and what a fun day that was.

It was never a real dog fight Mike Vic had no dog in the fight he took a beating though
