Good info on where we go from here
For those clamoring for opening everything up now, this is a much more reasonable plan:

A state can safely proceed to Phase II when it has achieved all the following:

A sustained reduction in cases for at least 14 days;

Hospitals in the state are safely able to treat all patients requiring hospitalization without resorting to crisis standards of care;

The state is able to test all people with COVID-19 symptoms; and

The state is able to conduct active monitoring of confirmed cases and their contacts

As a guy who sells stuff based off commodity markets - markets in which any news out of China moves the needle and they know it - I just assume that any report coming from the government is blatantly false. Because they usually are.

600,000 masks delivered by China to the Netherlands do not work, offer no protection. Many already in use

Yeah I just don’t know that we’ll get there anytime soon. We still don’t have the tests

I would assume that would be globally?

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. government’s foremost infection disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, says the U.S. will certainly have “millions of cases” of COVID-19 and more than 100,000 deaths.

As the U.S. tops the world in reported infections from the new coronavirus, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases predicts 100,000-200,000 deaths from the outbreak in the U.S.

The U.S. is currently reporting more than 124,000 cases and more than 2,100 deaths.

Fauci was speaking to CNN’s “State of the Union” as the federal government is discussing rolling back guidelines on social distancing in areas that have not been hard-hit by the outbreak.

Fauci says he would only support the rollback in lesser-impacted areas if there is enhanced availability of testing in place to monitor those areas. He acknowledged “it’s a little iffy there” right now.

Yes I can.

I've said it before you don't want to panic over the CornonaVirus. Take every precaution you can, stay informed, practice social distance and stay productive at home. There's not much else you can do.

That said comparing it to the flu isn't the way to go right now.

I can't because we don't. I've been monitoring seasonal flu for over a decade here:

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm#whomap

Nothing like all the scary maps and such. Don't get me wrong; I'm not prone to panic. I just thought what would be the reaction if seasonal flu numbers were treated the same way.

And, again, I'm not comparing seasonal flu with COVID-19. I'm comparing the daily reporting of new case growth and deaths, and what would the reaction be.

Fortunately we are no where near that right now.
