The Chiefs trade back 5 spots and out of the 1st with the Panthers for their 4th round pick.

2. AJ Terrell, CB, Clemson- I’m expecting Okudah, Henderson, Fulton, Diggs, and Gladney to be gone by 32. I think there’s a decent shot that one of them fall, but for now I’m going to go with the worst case scenario. After a trade down, we get a corner I’d probably take at 32 in that situation while picking. Terrell gives you a long press corner with speed on the outside that can start from day 1.

2. Lloyd Cushenberry, C, LSU- the Chiefs get who I think is the second best center in the draft here and another day 1 starter. He was one of the unsung heroes on the NC team. Big hands and long harms give the Chiefs their long term replacement at C a year after Morse’s departure.

3. Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, App State- We all know how bad the Chiefs need speed at the LB position and this guy gives you somebody that at the very least can be the first LB off the bench when you get into subs. In that role, he’s a HUGR upgrade from Niemann. Matt House gets a young LB to develop and really show how good of a coach he is.

4. John Hightower, WR, Boise State- Due to depth at the position, the Chiefs get good value here and give Mahomes a 6’1” 189 lb target with 4.43 speed and a decent 7.07 3 cone. Hightower is a good fit in this offense, and compliments Tyreek and Hardman well with a little more length.

4. Hakeem Adeniji, G, Kansas- we all know Reid loves to take solid college OT’s that aren’t quite good enough to start there in the NFL and move them inside to take advantage of their pas protection. Adeniji is a perfect example of this, and with all of the questions and potential cuts on the IOL, I think the Chiefs take 2 in this years draft.

5. Deejay Dallas, RB, Miami- This is a little bit of a homer pick, but I can’t help but think Dallas would be a perfect fit here. He’s great in pass pro, a good receiver out of the backfield as that was his original position, and he has great contact balance with enough juice to get big chunks. He’s a great character and locker room guy that would fit right in and quickly become a fan favorite.

I like this one a lot.

Getting the extra picks makes a huge difference imo. This isn't a draft that would get people taking but it's sneaky good as it fills needs and builds some depth.

I might have to get a Cushenberry jersey. What a name.

With the Panthers trade, they’re a perfect potential trade partner in terms of the value chart and the fact that we know they probably aren’t going QB in the 1st. If that happens, there’s a good chance they like a guy like Eason and want to trade into the 1st to get that 5th year option.
