Nzoner's Game Room>At what point did you realize that Mahomes was other-worldly?
Fat Elvis 11:34 PM 09-21-2018
For me, it was last year in a preseason game vs the Bungles. Mahomes gets flushed out of the pocket, rolls to his right, and throws a freakin' *curveball* to his receiver between three defenders.

Prior to that play, it never occurred to me that throwing a curveball with a football (let alone throwing a curveball with a baseball) on the run was even within the realm of possibility.

One of my favorites. I don't know how he does it.

This was the play that changed The Matrix.

After that, anything is possible.

I'm surprised how many people never watched his Tech film after he was drafted.

His college tape is rife with amazing stuff. He was literally a human highlight reel at Tech.

Interestingly, he wasn't nearly as "gunslingerish" as many idiots would have you believe (in the sense that he was reckless with the ball, I mean). Actually, if there was nothing there, he'd get what he could with his feet and/or throw the ball away to live for another down. I think he got that reputation because he had absolutely no defense on his team (I mean, none) and had to score on almost every possession in order to have a prayer of keeping a game close. It just demonstrates how lazy and uninformed most talking nogs really are.

i for one was one of those who stated that a 44/10 touchdown ratio would be absolutely fucking fabulous... not sure why they say he's a turnover machine..:-)

2014 Baylor game. True freshman on a 4-8 team. Baylor was ranked #7 in the country. Baylor was up by about 25 points with 17 minutes remaining in the game. Mahomes started dropping deep ball bombs on them all over the place to finish the game. Tech came up 2 points short in that one. He finished with 600 yards and 6 TD's.

He isn't. Not at all.

It's so weird, really. Guys like Skip Clueless and Thannon Tharp actually MAKE UP stats to support completely fabricated narratives regarding Mahomes. I've never seen anything like it.

Then again, I've never actually fact-checked most of these imbeciles.

Because who wants to spend their time fact-checking imbeciles?

In terms of pure arm strength, this one from 2015 pretty much does the trick.

58 yard low trajectory rocket off his back foot, falling towards the sideline.

also, this throw against iowa state is unreal

to have perfect accuracy on a pass that traveled 55 yards off the back foot is video game shit

I'm not sure I have witnessed it yet, but that 70 yard pass is pretty dope.

That, right there, is a great example of what a QB like the Human Trebuchet can do for a team, Mr. DRM08.

They know you're never out of it. Never. Ever. There is always hope that the win can occur (if you do your own job well and never quit).

Watch the sideline reaction to that play where he hits Robinson deep boundary after scrambling right (and getting plastered, by the way). Peters runs onto the field, EB is grinning like a fool, everybody is awestruck and ecstatic ... it's the energy transferred from your QB to guys who realize that (in any and every game) victory is within reach and beyond.

oh my frickin god

if he does this at arrowhead it may break noise records

i think most people actually haven't seen this before because it was an incomplete pass. i wish i could find a full game download for that week because i'd like to see the broadcast angle.
