The Chiefs have reached an agreement with TE Ricky Seals-Jones, a source tells me.

After the signing of TE Ricky Seals-Jones, the #Chiefs have two of the top five tight ends in yards per route run from the slot in 2019.https://t.co/eQoKvEEjk0#ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/toj8ynYtD2

Also worth noting:

Seals-Jones' QBs while putting up those numbers were Carson Palmer, Blaine Gabbert, Drew Stanton, Sam Bradford, Josh Rosen, and Baker Mayfield.

So Seals-Jones upgrades KCs #2 TE option and KC provides him w/a significant upgrade in who is throwing to him.

For comparisons sake, new TE Ricky Seals-Jones has 8 drops on 116 targets(6.89% drop rate), Demetrius Harris has 21 drops on 138 targets(15.22% drop rate) and Blake Bell has 6 drops on 59 targets(10.17% drop rate).

Mahomes will have so many weapons.

50 TD's and 5000 yards seems doable again.

They were already the best team in the NFL- and with limited Cap room- are having one of the best offseasons as well.

Veach must like him ...

They've already renamed the lockerroom; Club "Baby" Seals-Jones.

This is a good move long term - Kelce's contract is almost up.

Seals-Jones balls out he might be the heir apparent.

Is is the same type of 1 year deal as Hamilton pennell and the other guy where it only counts as the minimum salary but he actually gets paid a bit more?

Was thinking along similar lines, though I don't think Kelce is ever going anywhere. Travis will retire a Chief, probably when he's 35-36.

But this guy looks to be a significant upgrade over any TE2 we've had over the last 5-6 years, and could be the key to making the offense completely unstoppable a la the Patriots O back when Aaron Hernandez and Gronk were together. Along with Hill, Watkins and Hardman there'd be no stopping them.
