Excited about an upcoming fight? Want to make predictions, or just give people a heads-up that there are some fights on? We can do it here.

(Also a good place to complain, dicuss, and agrue about the outcomes)

He looked like the Elephant Man's little bro in that fight. I watched it with about a dozen people and when that thing got huge people were going crazy. I think Aldo was a bit of a sportsman for not trying to pop that thing with a shot.

He did everything that I love to see from a fighter, moved forward, took shots, gave shots and never even acted like there was another choice.

I loved the fights, except for the main event. Not sure if Shields was scared to, or GSP prevented him from getting the fight to the ground, but on their feet it wasn't even close. I too don't like GSP, and even though you do have to respect his ability to keep someone like Shields on his feet, that doesn't mean you have to like the idea of him never really getting off his own knockout punch.

The reason I don't like him is he doesn't finish fights. I have read through this and understand some of you believe he does this on purpose, but I don't understand that at all. If you let the judges decide the fight, you do not know the outcome. We have all seen fights that we thought the other fighter should win, but judges disagreed (even heard Joe talking about it in one fight). I believe most fans pay money to watch someone beat the crap out of someone else, and GSP (even though he wins) just doesn't seem to do that.

I believe that one of the reasons that GSP doesn't finish fights is because he isn't an overly powerful guy. He is super quick and super athletic and strong, but he doesn't have knock out power in his hands. I think GSP would love to finish more fights but he just doesn't have the KO power in his hands to do that. Second, when he gets guys to the ground he is usually looking to ground and pound them, and also because if you look at the guys he has fought for a while now, they all have great BJJ and submission defense. Sort of equaling out GSP's ability to do anything in the way of subs. If Hardy were anyone else they would have tapped on that kimura.

I think however, if GSP wants to be known as the greatest ever he's going to need a run of finishes at some point to really solidify that.

GSP admitted as much himself when he was talking about working with Freddy Roach. He said he didn't have great power and he hope dgetting better technique would help him get more KO's

Holy crap. That may be the first thing you have ever said that I agree with.

The rest of the card was ****ing amazing, though.
This.

He was timid the entire fight. Well....maybe not the entire fight. It seemed like after he cut up GSP he gained some confidence and started pushing the fight, but he would only do it for the first minute of the round and then go back to being timid again.

GSP was in his head.

Edgar- Maynard III coming up. If it's 1/2 as good as the last one it's worth the buy by itself.

Well that says more about your lack of MMA knowledge than anything. :-)

Edgar Maynard III off for now, the card is really swirling, I can't see myself paying to watch Rampage Jackson beat up a guy who doesn't belong in the same cage with him. I would love to see Roy Nelson's fat ass beat the doo out of Frank Mir though.

Hamill is a pretty damn good fighter that I think pulls the upset here getting Rampage down and getting the decision, but his card is pretty much worthless now. I haven't not got a card in over a year, but I'm not seeing this one being worth it now.

Rampage is a decent wrestler, I don't see it going down like that. I think Hamill will get punched in the face for 15 minutes and lose a lopsided decision.

I'm a Page fan but he has regressed since his Pride days when he wrestled, threw knees, was devastating in the clinch and was more well rounded. Now he simply goes to his boxing and relies on scoring a knock out. If Rampage had continued to develop his game he could have been champ for a long while. That Wolf's Den group fucked him up as well IMO.
