Figured we could have a thread breaking some stuff down from his films and discuss.

Anyway, the word of mouth was that apparently DOD was drafted to fill out the role that Sorensen played in Sutton’s defense...that stupid money backer position. Well apparently he doesn’t fit Spags system, which makes sense.

He’s too small to be a consistent run stopper and not fast enough to be a safety. Sucks for him but I guess shot happens.
There's still so much that doesn't make sense about that draft.

You draft Speaks when he's CLEARLY a long-term 4-3 guy and it suggests that you're potentially preparing for a 4-3 conversion. Then you evidently take DoD to play in a role that only works with the present DC and a 3-4 setup.

You draft Khalil McKenzie and keep him on the roster all season rather than risk losing him, then see enough in camp to cut his ass outright and don't even attempt to put him on your PS.

Oh well, at least Nnadi is a beast. Love that dude.

Dj you brought it up recently, but I kinda feel like the 2018 draft was one of those that they just didn't have a feel for. Then guys just didn't develop right, they switched defenses etc.

Nnadi is a really damn good player from it, so it's not a total loss. But that's just gonna happen with drafts sometimes. Ideally, you nab 2 or 3 guys from each draft including UDFA etc, and call it good. Sometimes you hit a big one like last years looks, but in the end, it's a crap shoot.

Is anybody else having trouble getting these vids to play?

Nevermind. I think Twitter was having issues. Videos seem to be working (slightly slower than normal) now.

Elbowed him in the gut - and Fisher had sports hernia surgery - which I think is the lower abdomen.

Cheap shot.

Hope in the next meeting that Fisher ends up in the bottom of the scrum with him.

This type of stout play against the run will be imperative this month.

Suggs fights through the double. Nnadi knocks over his blocker and the edge is closed. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/lJUvKBPgFh

Pennel walks the guard back. Sheds the block and lets the running back know he is done on this play. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/MEWJ0SIxdw

4th and short here. Pennel holds LOS. Suggs comes crashing down. Jones has his blocker maintained and waits for the back. Great job by the DL. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/bYpQeOy75A

2020 up and running

The tackle has no prayer against Clark with that set. And Jones working over Fulton with his bull rush. Good job of collapsing the pocket in on Watson. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/w5TIVg4Dq4

The motion here by Kelce gives the front side combo blocks more favorable angles. Kelce and Fisher can double to second level. Reiter and Osemele great double. Osemele waits till the perfect time to peel off and bury the linebacker in the dirt. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/JEkL2N078j

Chiefs have some rub routes designed here to create traffic for the defender covering the back to get through. Ran it a ton last year. Hill gets clean vertical release against single high but rush was collapsing in. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/3gkj089Ki1

Mahomes seeing what the safeties do with Kelce’s motion. They show underneath will be there. Kelce with a quick sit down to convert. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/rnvygBWmg0

Single high with two vertical routes. Hill’s post holds the safety. Gives Robinson and easy shot for a potential TD catch. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/JWjEj2SdDt

Same play as before. Texans run two twist. OL picks it all up and widens the pocket. That’s one clean pocket that can give any QB confidence. Impressive pass pro this early in the season. KC struggles with that early on most seasons. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/kQRGGSEyrk

Rare hiccup here. I don’t think Schwartz thought Mahomes was going to be this far back on his drop based on his set. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/ELZnT1P2eh

On Johnson TD here. Wharton comes hard up field. Hitchens gets washed out by Fulton. Wilson with some hesitation on the fill and that’s a wrap. #JacobsEyeInTheSky #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/EUzvMvqBgV
