The whole grape jelly snobbery makes me snort with laughter, adding grape jelly to a gravy is just a field expedient way of doing what the Italians have done for eons... add some wine to that gravy

No chef here but it does add depth of flavor, any one ingredient can make or break a dish. Execution and timing is a big factor on why dishes can taste like crap.

Use it for chicken salad, or toss on regular green salads. Good for a casserole, too. Or homemade chicken noodle soup.
I bought some today. Increasing the protein in my diet. Give me a few things I can add to make this good.

I refer to that as cat food chicken. It is great for sandwiches or stir ins for sure.

Where can I buy those pickled red onions for topping tacos and such in Mexican dishes? I looked in Hispanic aisle and didn't see them.

KCUnited, any help hombre?

Cut up a red onion and soak them in vinegar. I just use a mason jar. Can't recall seeing them packaged for sale.

I took the bread, split it in half, spread on butter, hit it with some garlic powder and went under the broiler until butter melted and started to toast. Took it out added colby jack and mozzarella cheese and back under the broiler. Topped with meatballs and sprinkled on some parsley for a bit of color.
